Feedback module

Problem

The Key had big drops year-on-year in feedback volume for their articles. This decrease in feedback made it difficult to assess user needs and monitor the quality of the content.

Solution

My solution included a user-centric design approach, including improved placement and usability of the feedback feature.

Impact

The improvements resulted in a significant 60% increase in feedback volume over the past 3 months. This allows the Content team to refine content and deliver a more engaging reading experience.

Recruitment checker
for school staff

Problem

The Key offered a lot of generic recruitment articles, but members sought a more tailored approach reflecting their unique school environments. These generic resources didn't resonate with users' needs for bespoke solutions.

Solution

I designed an interactive tool that guides users through a series of questions. Based on their answers, the tool generates a personalised checklist, catering to their unique requirements.

Impact

This bespoke checklist empowers The Key members to confidently tackle recruitment challenges, saving them valuable time.

Smart port

Overview

I participated in the Smart Port hackathon with the aim to design an app that simulates oil slicks following an accidental marine pollution.

Problem

Nowadays, oil slick detection is inaccurate and difficult to understand through complex software and multi page reports.

Solution

My team and I proposed an AI based pollution detector with deep learning model and an easy to use application.

In the first instance, users are asked to input details related to the spill and to configure the spill model; the output is then shown via an easy to use player that responders can act upon and plan the necessary emergency response actions.
