KeyGPT was designed to address a wide array of user requests, ranging from drafting letters to parents on sensitive subjects to suggesting questions for staff meetings and drafting emails to social workers about pupils—tasks previously challenging to manage.

Leveraging user-specific information about their roles and schools, KeyGPT personalises its responses to ensure relevance and accuracy tailored to the user’s context.

I designed the KeyGPT tool from the ground up. To create a user-friendly experience, I drew inspiration from existing AI tools like Gemini and ChatGPT. The aim was to maintain a familiar layout to ensure ease of use. Initial sketches of the main screens were created to visualize the tool’s interface, focusing on clarity and functionality.

To meet The Key's goal of making this tool available to their members as early as possible, I completed the initial designs within two weeks, with further iterations made in the following months.

Given that KeyGPT is part of The Key’s product suite, I focused on maintaining a cohesive brand identity. I created a style guide to maintain consistency across the tool’s design. Collaborative development

Given the fast-paced nature of the project, daily meetings with our two engineers were essential. These sessions facilitated real-time updates and ensured that design and development were in sync, allowing for quick adjustments and seamless progress.

Since its launch, KeyGPT has significantly enhanced users' ability to handle diverse and bespoke queries, including complex tasks like drafting professional emails for sensitive situations. While I am unable to share specific metrics or user quotes due to confidentiality, the tool has seen widespread adoption and frequent use, becoming a key resource for school leaders and staff.

Following the launch of AI Playground, it quickly became a go-to resource for many users. The feedback we've received reflects how the tool has reduced workload, saved time, and increased efficiency in managing day-to-day tasks.
